Used for DAS applications, the SDP coaxial tappers (unsymmetrical splitters) are available in very broad bandwidth from 350 − 2700 MHz, with accurate coupling value and at very low cost in comparison to a directional coupler. The tapper operates similarly to the directional coupler but without directivity and provides much less isolation on a return path.
